Excavator-Mounted Trencher
MH100
Large excavator-mounted trencher for difficult access and civil engineering
Available to purchase through TrenchWorks in New Zealand

Best For
Suited to These Applications
- Civil infrastructure
- Fibre optic installation
- Water pipelines
- Utilities
- Difficult access sites
The MH100 turns a 20+ tonne excavator into the most versatile trenching solution for demanding conditions. A 360° turntable allows angled trenching against barriers and on slopes where a dedicated trencher can't go, digging five to ten times faster than a bucket while crushing or pulling stones up to football-size out of the trench.
Why Consider It
- Digs 5–10x faster than a digging bucket
- 360° turntable for angled trenching near barriers and slopes
- Crushes, grinds or pulls out stones up to football-size
- Clean, professional trench with rapid backfilling

Is This the Right Machine for Me?
The MH100 is built for 20+ tonnes, trenching to 1.0m – 1.8m (staged options) at widths of 125–400mm (standard/bullet chain). If your project sits within that range it's a strong candidate — but ground conditions, site access and the exact outcome you need all matter too. Use the Find My Trencherquiz (on the right on desktop, or in the menu on mobile) for a starting recommendation, then talk to TrenchWorks to confirm it's right for your site before you buy. See the Trenchers NZ buying guide for how this machine compares across the full range.
